REVIEW OF "ANASTASIA"
"To say that I was "mightily impressed" is an understatement! What Bengt Jorgen and the Ballet Jorgen company created on the stage of Flagler College Auditorium last Saturday evening was a love story of emotionally epic proportions... The choreography presented the story with clarity and the dancers gave it a life that was at times nothing short of breathtaking... It was a beautiful performance which at times caused tears to well up in a good portion of the audience. I had my tissues handy.
The audience was totally involved to the point where it was so silent that a pin dropped would have sounded like a cannon shot. At the intermission I overheard people talking about what a wonderful evening they were having. When the curtain came down at the end the audience exploded with applause and rose to their feet to honor those who had given them such a pleasurable evening. It was a performance that will be long remembered. Ballet Jorgen should make "Anastasia" a permanent part of their repertory so others may enjoy this wonderful ballet for years to come. I look forward to the return of Ballet Jorgen to St. Augustine in coming seasons."
